NORFOLK — The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge band members participated in the first GNAC Conference Clinic at Lutheran High Northeast Jan. 27.
Instrumental students from Elkhorn Valley, Hartington-Newcastle, LCC, Lutheran High NE, Neligh-Oakdale, Plainview, and Summerland were assigned placement in the Percussion Group, Symphonic Band and the Honor Band.
Students needed to have previous accolades to become a member of the GNAC Conference Honor Band. Clinicians for the day were: Percussion-Bennett Jandreau, Adjunct Professor of Percussion at Concordia University; Symphonic Band-Pat Sedivy, retired band/music teacher; and Honor Band-Robert Cody, who travels the state and country as a presenter and clinician.
The first annual GNAC concert was held at 5:30 pm Monday night at Lutheran High Northeast.
LCC Band Members participated in the following groups: Percussion Group-Luke Erwin and Keaton Gregory Symphonic Band-Kennedy Hall, Alyza Leonard, Yasmine Miranda, Mia O’Quinn, Dreyson Puppe, Sebastiaan Van Drongelen, Walker Stone Honor Band-Paul Allison, Jayden Campbell, Madyson Campbell, Koby Detlefsen, Mara Droppers, Faith Galvin, Jenna Gewock, Craig Karnes, Jolynn Kinkaid, Derek Nelson, Preston Rose, Kolten Settje, Christian Staples. Absent were :Sam Cross and Emma Sohler. All 15 honor band members were also GNAC All Conference Band members.
