WYNOT — The Wynot Lady Blue Devils hosted the Plainview Lady Pirates on Friday night. After somewhat of a slow start, the Lady Devils got it going, as they would roll to the 45-31 win.
Wynot got a monster game from Kenna Oligmueller pouring in 24, and grabbing 12 rebounds for a double-double. Haley Wieseler helped the Lady Blue Devils’ cause, with 10 points, and Addison Sharpe drained a pair of 3-pointers to help the offense.
Plainview was led by Addison Hudson with nine points and Riley Miller with eight points. Avery Hardisty hit a trey for the Lady Pirates as well.
Cold shooting plagued both teams in the opening quarter. Addie Hudsen had Plainviews lone basket of the first period. Kenna Oligmueller had all of Wynot’s seven first-quarter points.
Haley Wieseler got hot in the second quarter, connecting for eight points and Addison Sharpe hit a pair of treys, as Wynot went on a 14-9 run to lead 21-11 at halftime. Plainview got a basket each from Addison Hudsen and Kenzie Doerr and some free throws to provide their offense.
In the third period, the two teams heated up some as Plainview scored eight points in close by Riley Miller, and three points each from Avery Hardisty and Addie Hudsen. Wynot’s Kenna Oligmueller stayed hot, dumping in 11 more points to help the Lady Blue Devils take a 34-25 advantage.
Addi Hudsen, Kenzie Doerr and Riley Miller all hit a bucket for the Lady Pirates in the fourth quarter. They could not gain ground on the Lady Devils as five more points by Oligmueller and a basket each from Addison Sharpe and Jaylin Geisen kept Wynot in the lead, as they picked up the 45-31 win.
