BATTLE CREEK - The Cedar Catholic Trojan wrestling team was second at the Battle Creek Invitational.
The LadyTrojans, two strong, earnedatitle and runner-up individually at the Plainview Invitational, both meets were held Jan. 18 at the respective sites.
At Battle Creek, Cedar Catholic rode three individual champions to the runner-up finish and all three remained undefeated on the season.
Battle Creek won the title with 253 points while the Trojans were second with 185, Gretna East was third with 145.5, Gretna was fourth with 119.5 and Yutan rounded out the top five in the 18-team tournament with 104.5 Braeden Kleinschmit took first at 132 pounds for Cedar Catholic and upped his season record to 24-0.
Easton Hochstein took the 144-pound championship and sits at 27-0 on the season.
Brady Hochstein remained undefeated at 165 pounds, improving his season mark to 25-0.
The T roj ans earned a couple of silver medals from Grady Lammers at 106 and Maverick Heine at 126 pounds.
Bodie Hochstein was third at 138 while Ty Opfer and Brody Kleinschmit were fourth at 150 and 157 respectively.
Kyptin Collier was fifth at 190 and Nicholas Coleman was sixth at 215 pounds.
Hunter Kuchta was seventh at 150, Castin Pinkelman was eighth at 175 and Anson Noecker was 14th at 165.
At Plainview, Evelyn Freeman took the individual championship at 110 pounds while Morgan Kuchta was the runner up at 130.
The Trojans and Lady Trojans are scheduled to wrestle at Neligh-Oakdale on Jan. 23 before heading to Albion for the Mid State Conference Meet at Boone Central on Jan. 25.
