ALLEN — The Wynot Blue Devils took on the Tri- County Wolfpack Thursday and had little trouble as they rolled to a 57-31 win.
Wynot built a 31-12 advantage in the first half and pulled away late in the game as they improved their season record to 6-4.
Ben Jorgensen was a bright spot for the Wolfpack taking scoring honors for the game with his 17 points. Wynot got balanced scoring with 10 players entering the scoring column lead by Kasen Koch with 12 points. Kotner Koch and Devin Brummer each connected for nine points to help the Blue Devils cause.
The Wolfpack started out cold in the first quarter as they were held to just three free throws. Meanwhile Wynot got a pair of threes by Devin Brummer and one by Kotner Koch as they earned the 9-3 lead.
Ben Jorgensen got the hot hand for the Wolfpack in the second quarter scoring eight points for the home team. Wynot countered with a balanced attack lead by six points from Kasen Koch, five points by Andrew Haberman and a three pointer each from Cooper Oligmueller and Devin Brummer as the Blue Devils increased their lead to 31-12 at halftime.
The two teams traded baskets in the third quarter. Ben Jorgensen hit for five points and Devin Reinert hit a trey for the Wolfpack. Wynot got six more points from Kasen Koch and five points from twin brother Kotner as Wynot kept the 46-25 margin intact.
In the final quarter Ben Jorgensen hit two more baskets for Tri-County. Wynot got four points from Cooper Oligmueller and a trey by Braylon Hans as they pulled away for the 57-31 win.
