Area students earn spots on the USD Dean’s List

VERMILLION, S.D. — Jordynn Lee Urwiler was one of more than 2,500 students at the University of South Dakota to be honored for high achievement during the fall 2024 semester with the release of the Dean’s List and Academic Honors.

Full-time undergraduate students are named to the Dean’s List if they received a 3. 5 GPA for courses they took in the fall 2024 semester, and they had no incomplete or failing grades.

Students, those with fewer than 12 credit hours, the recognition is called Academic Honors.

Urwiler, the daughter of Kody and Stephanie Urwiler of Laurel, will graduate May 2025 with her bachelor’s degree.

Each year since 2006, the Nebraska School Activities Association and the Nebraska Chiropractic Physicians Association recognize students who have been nominated by their schools, based on their individual academic excellence, leadership, and significant contributions made to their NSAA activity.
