Community blood drive deemed ‘success’

YANKTON, S.D. – Up to 120 patients in need of blood will benefit from 35 donors giving 40 units of blood at the last Randolph Community Blood Driv e.

With the last drive, William Schmit reached the milestone of donating one gallon of blood.

The next local blood drive has been set for 12:30-6 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 25, at the Randolph city auditorium.

Text ‘LIFESERVE’ to 999-777 to book your donation appointment. Appointments are encouraged but walk-ins will be welcomed.

LifeServe Blood Center is a non-profit, community-based blood ce nter that has served the needs of local hospitals and patients in our regions since 1947.

As one of the 15 largest blood centers in the country, LifeServe provides blood products to 175 hospitals primarily in Iowa, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Illinois.

LifeServe is committed to saving lives by providing premier serv ice to volunteer blood donors and access to a blood supply for hospitals and patients.
