Cedar County Fair featuring up and coming talent
HARTINGTON - Three up-and-coming country music artists will grace the Cedar County Fair stage for the 2025 CedarStock Music Fest.
Ag Society President Greg Heine announced the Fair has signed Dylan Marlowe, Chase Rice and Ashley Cooke to perform at this year's event.
Heine said he is always looking for a band or a singer that's just on the verge of becoming a major star.
The Cedar County Fair has earned a reputation of bringing in big name performers just as they are hitting it big nationally.
In the past several years, the Cedar County Fair has made a name for itself for bringing in top name entertainment. The fair has hosted big name artists such as Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Sawyer Brown, Restless Heart, Justin Moore, Gabby Barrett, Phil Vassar, Confederate Railroad, Brothers Osborne and Blackhawk just to name a few.
Marlowe, who earned a name for himself with his Tik Tok and YouTube videos, will take the Cedar County Fairgrounds stage on Friday, July 18.
The Statesboro, Georgia native found success when a song he wrote, 'Last Night Lonely,' hit number one on the charts in 2022 for Jon Pardi.
On Saturday, July 19 Chase Rice will take the stage.
Rice's music reached national fame in 2019 when his song 'Eyes on You,' hit number one on the country music charts.
He hit number one again in 2020 with 'Drinkin' Beer. Talkin' God. Amen,' a song that featured Florida Georgia Line.
Rice, who first became known for his role in Survivor in 2010, has now produced six studio albums.
Before he became a headliner, he was an opener for stars such as Kenny Chesney, Jelly Roll and Old Dominion.
On Sunday, July 20, Ashley Cooke will be the headliner at the Cedar County Fair.
Her 2022 debut single, a duet of 'Never Til Now'with Brett Young, hit No. 49 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart.
Her 2023 release of 'Your Place,' hit number two on the charts.
