Hartington blood drive has 42 donors, collects 43 units of blood

HARTINGTON — The recent Hartington Community Blood Drive was very successful thanks to the generosity of the 42 donors. We collected 43 units of blood, which will directly benefit up to 129 patients in need of life-saving transfusions.

Duane and Elaine Arens helped to coordinate the event and hosted by the Hartington VFW.

Special recognition goes to the individuals who have reached significant milestones with their donations: Michael Dowling, one gallon; Levi Frederick, two gallons; Dan Trobaugh, two gallons; Diane Hochstein, five gallons, Katherine Winkelbauer, five gallons; Pamela Howell, 10 gallons.

The next Hartington Community Blood drive is 12:30-6 p.m., Jan 30, at Trinity Lutheran Church.
