WEST POINT — The Wynot Lady Blue Devils travelled to West Point to do battle with the Guardian Angel Lady Blue Jays on Thursday and got blown out by a final score of 48-11. Wynot was missing two starters in this one and struggled on the offensive end all night.
The Lady Blue Jays would put 11 players in the scoring column lead by 14 points from Bailey Gerths and 10 points by Emerson Baumert in a balanced attack.
Wynot got five points from Kenna Oligmueller and three points each by Haley Wieseler and Eliza Lange.
In the opening quarter Guardian Angels got five points by Izzy Kreikemeier and four points from Abi Toline along with hitting 6 of 7 from the freethrow line as they roared out to a 19 – 2 lead.
In the second quarter it was more of the same as the Blue Jays went on a 21-5 run. Emily Gerths poured in nine points and four point each from Alysen Luebbert and Emerson Baumert fueled the run. Wynot got a field goal each from Haley Wieseler and Eliza Lange but were in a deep hole at halftime trailing 40 – 7 at the break.
The Blue Devils got a three pointer by Kenna Oligmueller to open the third quarter but little else. Meanwhile the Blue Jays got treys by Emme Cohee and Bailey Gerths and a pair of baskets from Alyson Luebbert and pushed their advantage to 56- 11 going into the final period.
The Blue Devils reserves were held scoreless in the final period. Guardian Angels got a trey by Emme Cohee and a conventional basket from Emerson Baumert to make the final tally 62-11 in favor of the Lady Blue Jays.

WYNOT — The Wynot Lady Blue Devils got back on the winning track Friday night as they hosted the Osmond Lady Tigers. Wynot found their offense back as they rolled to a big 48-18 to improve their season record to 3-1 with a win.
Wynot was led by Kenna Oligmueller with a game high 16 points and Eliza Lange had a steady game also hitting double figures with her 14 point effort. Kiera Heimes hit a trio of three pointers to chip in with nine points for the game.
Osmond was led by Kaleigh Miller with six points and Charley Ashoff hit a trey to lead the Lady Tiger offense.
Both teams started out cold from the floor. Osmond could only manage a pair of free throws by Kaleigh Miller in the opening quarter while Wynot got a trey by Kiera Heimes and a conventional basket from Eliza Lange and Haley Wieseler to earn the early 9-2 lead.
Both teams started to find some offense in the second quarter. The Lady Tigers got a trey by Charley Ashoff and a basket each by Kaleigh Miller and Corrina Kumm. Wynot countered with a pair of baskets from Kenna Oligmueller and Eliza Lange as they held a 19-10 halftime lead.
Wynot’s defense held Osmond’s offense to just a pair of third quarter free throws. Meanwhile Kiera Heimes hit twice from long range and Kenna Oligmueller worked the paint area for six points to increase the Lady Blue Devils lead to 31-12.
In the fourth quarter the Lady Tigers tried to rally behind a basket each from Kaleigh Miller and Carrina Kumm and Erin Wagner but the Lady Blue Devils heated up on offense getting eight points from Eliza Lange, a pair of baskets by Kenna Oligmueller and three pointer from Haley Wieseler as they went on to earn the 48-18 win.
