YANKTON, S.D. – The next LifeServe blood drive in Randolph has been set for Monday, Dec. 30.
The blood drive will be 12:30-6 p.m., at the city auditorium. Walk-ins are welcome but appointments are encouraged by calling 1-800-287-4903 or texting LIFESERVE to 999-777.
Once arriving at the blood drive site, donors will be registered by providing their personal information and signing appropriate forms. Identification helps with the registration process.
Then, potential donors are screened with a complete series of health and lifestyle questions, and receive a mini-physical to check temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, and hemoglobin level.
Donating a unit of blood - about one pint - takes about 10 minutes.
After the donation, donors rest and enjoy refreshments before leaving the blood donation site.
