HARTINGTON - The recent Hartington community blood drive was a huge success, with 37 donors registered and 38 units of blood collected,. This will directly benefit up to 114 patients who rely on life-saving transfusions. Silice each unit can save up to three lives, this makes a tremendous difference for those undergoing treatment.
Donors who hit significant milestones with their recent donations include, Teriy Korth, two gallons; Cheri Morten, two gallons; Rob Morten, four gallons; Jackie Steffen, four gallons; Randy Wiebelhaus, six gallons; Lorraine Pinkelman, seven gallons.
LeRoy Hansen, Pastor Jertson and the team at Trinity Lutheran Church coordinated and hosted the event.
The next Hartington community blood drive will be 12:30-6:30 p.m., Dec. 19, at the Hartington VFW.
