COLERIDGE — The American Legion Post #114 and its Auxiliary Unit #114 held their monthly meeting Nov. 4 at the Coleridge Community Building.at 6:30 p.m.
The units jointly recited the Pledge of Allegiance and then they separated and held their monthly meetings.
President V. Gullicksen called the meeting to order. President V. Gulliksen gave a reading, and a prayer followed by a moment of silence in memory of our departed. Secretary Brenda Lage called the role with six members responding. She also read the minutes of the October meeting, and they were approved as read. The treasurer’s report was given. Motion by J. Burbach and seconded by M. Storm to approve the treasurer’s report.
President Gullicksen informed the members on the good turnout at the District Breakfast held in Wisner in October.
A Veteran’s service will be held at LCC Middle School on November 11th at 10:45 a.m.
Discussion was held on ideas for gifts for our members on Veteran’s Day and for Christmas, D. Wemhoff has volunteered to oversee this project. Discussion was held on having a Christmas Lunch at Rodeo’s on December 14th. President Gullicksen will be reaching out to all members and get a count on how many will be attending.
We will not have a meeting in December, the next meeting will be Feb. 3, 2025. The meeting was adjourned.
