Carson Noecker is still tearing up the course

BROOKINGS, S.D. — Carson Noecker keeps recording personal bests.

The 2022 Cedar Catholic graduate finished second at the Summit League meet recently to help his South Dakota State University Jackrabbit men’s cross country team earn their ninth-consecutive conference championship.

For his efforts, Noecker received All-Summit League First Team honors.He won last year’s conference meet and earned All Conference honors that year, as well.

On Friday, Noecker helped the SDSU team earn a 12th-place finish at the NCAA Midwest Regionals in Peorida, Ill.

Oklahoma State won the event, followed by Minnesota, Northwestern, Iowa State and Nebraska.

Noecker led the Jackrabbit men with a 10th place finish, completing the 10K race in a personal best of 29:25.8. Oklahoma State’s Denis Kipngetich won the event with a time of 28:51.5.
