COLERIDGE — A group of 17 friends and neighbors held a corn picking bee at the Don Anderson home Tuesday, Nov. 3.
Eight corn pickers were used. Mr. Anderson recently underwent major surgery.

COLERIDGE — One game remains on the 1969 football schedule of the Bulldogs. Coleridge will travel to Hartington Friday to play Cedar Catholic. Following the 14-0 victory over Ponca Friday Coleridge is now assured of a tie in the Lewis & Clark Conference. A win by Coleridge over Cedar or a loss by Winside will give the Bulldogs the title. Nov 6, 1969 COLERIDGE — The Cedar County Masonic Banquet was held at the Congregational Church basement Saturday with the Evening Circle serving the meal. The wives of the Masons were invited for the first time this year. Nov 7, 1974 LAUREL — Dave Felber and Evert Johnson have been elected to the District 54 School Board; Richard Hansen won re-election. In an unofficial count, Concord voters (including Logan, Daily, Concord, Dixon and Clark townships), Hanson received 136 votes; Johnson, 109; Felber, 81; with Robert Dickey getting 97 and Sharon Thomas, 54. Voters of Laurel cast 386 ballots for Felber; 345 for Hanson; 324 for Johnson; 314 for Dickey and 226 for Thomas.
Congressman Charles Thone carried Cedar County by a margin of 1,327 votes over Democrat Hess Dyas. The Laurel vote was 341 for Thone, 101 for Dyas.
