After being bombarded by an endless stream of election advertisements, it all ends next week.
Yes. The election of 2024 will finally be over. No matter which candidate or candidates come out victorious, one thing is certain, whoever wins is going to do their very best to do the job for which we elected them.
One other thing is certain, as well. Whoever wins will be soundly criticized by the opposition party for some of their political stances and their agenda items.
If we could have one wish to come out of this election, it is this — to return to civility in government and for both political parties to agree to “work across the aisle.”
Whoever wins, whoever gets to set the tone for the country and in Congress, we hope the rest of the lawmakers and the rest of the country can put partisan politics aside and do what is actually best for the country — not just what’s best for their political party. It’s time we stopped bickering over every little detail, rolled up our sleeves and started actually working together.
