WYNOT — It took a couple of extra points, but the No. 1-seeded Wynot Lady Blue Devil volleyball team disposed of Bancroft-Rosalie in the D2-3 Sub-District Tournament held here Oct. 28.
After winning the first two sets 25-16 and 25-16, the Lady Panthers put up a bit of a fight in the third set of the best-of-five-sets match, but the Lady Blue Devils responded to take care of their business and won the match with the 27-25 set win for the sweep.
Kenna Oligmueller led the Wynot attack with nine kills on the night, Eliza Lange added six, Sophia Geisen had three and Jordan Foxhoven had two winners.
Geisen recorded a double-double in the match with 19 set assists and 12 digs, Oligmueller tacked on 11 digs to just miss her double-double with the nine kills.
Jaylin Geisen had 13 digs and an ace serve. Sophia Geisen, Foxhoven and Isabelle Francis also served an ace.
The win over B-R set the Lady Blue Devils up in the D2-3 Sub-District Finals against 14-14 Archangels Catholic back here at Wynot on Oct. 29.
