NORTH PLATTE - Laurel-Concord-Coleridge finished in the top half of the team standings here Oct. 14 and 15 shooting a 36-hole total of 775 which was good enough for seventh at the Class C Nebraska Golf Championships at Lake Maloney Golf Club.
Wayne outlasted Minden for the team championship by a single stroke 696-697 with West Holt coming in third at 739.
The Lady Bears trimmed 13 strokes off their score on Oct. 15th after shooting a 394 on the 14th.
Kara Suchsland of Minden was the medalist after carding back-to-back 77’s for a two-day total of 154. Mia Hiebner of Heartland and KayLynn Jorgensen of Minden finished in a tie for second two shots back at 156.
Clara Brummels shot the low round for Laurel-Concord- Coleridge with a 91/91 182 which put her in 16th place.
Holly Patefield tied for 34th with a 99/93 192, Harper Bruning fired rounds of 100/100 for a total of 200 to tie for 49th, Skylar Swanson had rounds of 104/97 for a 201 and tied her for 51st and Danica Gould shot rounds of 119/120 for a total of 239 which put her in 89th place.
The three teams from the Lady Bears district fared well at state with the Lady Blue Devils taking the title, West Holt was third and Laurel-Concord-Coleridge ended up with the seventh-place showing.
