LINCOLN — Laurel-Concord-Coleridge was one of 78 Nebraska schools to earn an EducationQuest Foundation 8th-Grade Campus Visit Grants.
In total, the grants total nearly $50,000. Schools will use grants of up to $1,350 to help fund college visits and related activities to help students prepare for college.
EducationQuest Vice President Eric Drumheller said, “When younger students step onto a college campus, they feel more empowered to chase their higher education goals. Our 8th-Grade Campus Visit Grant allows Nebraska students to experience the vibrant atmosphere of a college campus firsthand, explore career paths, and learn about funding options.”
The 8th-Grade Campus Visit Grants, awarded annually, are one of several programs EducationQuest provides to fulfill its mission of improving access to higher education in Nebraska.
Since the program’s inception in 2011, EducationQuest has awarded more than $430,000 in 8th-Grade Campus Visit Grant funding.
