Hartington volunteer firemen spent much of Friday helping to educate area school children about fire safety. The firemen presented programs at both Holy Trinity and Hartington-Newcastle schools. They also opened up the Fire Hall to show kindergartners at both schools the equipment they use to help stay safe while putting out a fire. After the tour, the kids climbed up on a truck and got a ride back to school on top of the fire truck.
