Bob Fuoss
WAYNE — Bob Fuoss, 87, Wayne, died April 16, 2023, at his home in rural Wayne.
Visitation was April 21 at Journey Christian Church, Wayne.
Services were April 22 at Community Bible Church, Norfolk.
Burial, with military rites, was April 22 at Greenwood Cemetery, Wayne Arrangements were under the direction of Hasemann Funeral Home, Wayne.
Bob was born on a farm southeast of Wayne to Albert and Bonnie (Hurley) Fuoss. He attended several rural school districts and Wayne Prep. He entered the Army in 1958, served for two years and was honorably discharged in 1960, where he received his GED. After serving in the Army, he started farming in 1960 south of Laurel. He married the love of his life, Janice Schademann, Jan. 19, 1963. God blessed this marriage with two children, David and Ranae. Bob was a progressive farmer, installing the first center pivot in Wayne County in 1968. He continued to farm for more than 60 years. He moved north of Wayne in 1973, and lived there with his wife, Janice, until his passing.
He had a passion for International Harvester equipment. Bob owned Midland Equipment in Wayne until 2014. He loved tractors, tractor pulling, Chevrolet vehicles, and you better not be driving a Toyota up his driveway. Bob also loved Jesus. He was not afraid to tell you that you better know Jesus also.
Bob and Jan attended Concord Evangelical Free Church from 1963 to 2001 and then attended Community Bible Church, Norfolk. They wintered in Arizona, where he loved the warmer weather. They also attended Tri-City Baptist Church. Bob was on the board of the International Baptist College in Chandler, Ariz.
Bob is survived by his wife, Janice; children, David (Nicole) Fuoss, Wayne, and Ranae (Ted) Kempf, Carroll; six grandchildren, Austin, Kylie, Jaclyn and Cody Kempf and Emily and Hannah Fuoss; sisters, Judy Schroeder and Norma Barker, Texas; brother, Roger (Carol) Fuoss, Wayne; brother-in-law, John Vance, Washington State; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding Bob in death were his parents, Albert in 1994 and Bonnie in 2000; in-laws, Lawrence and Vera Schademann; sisters, Ruth (Vern) Hill and Mildred Vance; brothers-in-law, Harold Barker and Jack Schroeder.
Memorials may be directed to the Fuoss Family for later designation.
