Laurel’s downtown district has a new look now that the dust is settling where the City Auditorium once stood

Laurel’s downtown district has a new look now that the dust is settling where the City Auditorium once stood. Construction crews razed the 111-year-old city auditorium building last week. Demolition began on the east side of the building with the Senior Center going first, the the old city offices. The demolition crew then started knocking in the rest of the structure. They are still working this week to haul the debris away. Sandra Cross|Laurel Advocate
