HARTINGTON — Leon “Pete” Hausman and Miss Sue Beuck were crowned king and queen of Holy Trinity’s tenth annual homecoming festivities at the homecoming dance at Skylon Ballroom here Friday night.
Hausman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hausman, is co-captain of the football team. Miss Beuck, daugher of Mr. and Mrs. Jon Beuck, is a cheerleader.
Runners-up for king and queen were Dean Meyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Meyer of Hartington and Miss Marion Bruening, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I. C. Bruening of St. Helena.
Hausman and Miss Beuck were crowned by last year’s royalty- Dennis Meyer, another son of Mr. and Mrs.
Fred Meyer: and Miss Renee Dougherty, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Dougherty.

HARTINGTON — Cornhusker Boys’ and Girls’ County Government Day, sponsored by the American Legion and Auxiliary, will be Nov. 2.
Every school in the county will elect one member of the class for each of the county offices.
Lunch will be served by the Auxiliary in the city auditorium. Students who have been elected to a county office are invited to eat lunch with the county officer of the office.

HARTINGTON — Merle Palmer of Hartington has been named Cedar county chairman for the National Agricultural hall of Fame Campaign.
The announcement came from J.
W. “Wes” Lusche of Columbus. In making the appointment, Lusche said, “Cedar county and the Hall of Fame are fortunate in having Mr. Palmer’s close association with agriculture. and agricultural youth activities.”
