HARTINGTON — The Sept. 26 blood drive in Hartington was a resounding success. There were 34 donors and 37 units of blood collected, potentially saving up to 111 lives.
Several donors hit significant milestones: Elizabeth Holan, one gallon; Dennis Arens, three gallons; Paul Golden, four gallons and Carrie Meyer, five gallons.
Pastor Amanda Jertson, LeRoy Hansen and the team at Hartington’s Trinity Lutheran Church sponsored and hosted the drive.
The next Hartington Community Blood Drive will be Oct. 17, at the Hartington VFW, from 12:30-6 p.m.
