Brain injury focus of meeting

RANDOLPH – The Randolph Woman’s Club met Sept. 9 at the Lied Randolph Public Library. Roll call was answered by members who described a fun summer experience. Most club members traveled during the summer and some have trips planned in the months ahead.

Jo Kilburn reported on the club’s annual craft show. Craft tables are being purchased by vendors with room for 10 more. The craft show is set for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 2, at the city auditorium. Proceeds from the craft show benefit the library and the Randolph Area Veterans Memorial Park.

Charlotte Endorf gave a presentation about brain injury awareness. Endorf said brain injuries are common and occur from many different sets of circumstances. Endorf is the support group leader for this area, meeting on the fourth Wednesdays at the Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce.

This year’s Brain Injury Support Group meetings will focus on using art to heal. The public is invited to attend.

Refreshments were provided by Debra Wiese and Cindi Umberger.

The next Woman’s Club meeting is set for Monday, Oct. 14, at Colonial Manor. Gina Bagbey will give a presentation about using goat milk in soaps, lotions and more.

Members are to bring items for the food pantry in Randolph. Guests are welcome to attend.
