WYNOT - Wynot’s volleyball team added a couple of wins to its season total this past week, defeating Winside on Sept. 10, 25-14, 25-11 and 25-17 in a best-of-five-sets match and against Creighton on Sept. 12, 25-19, 25-19 and 25-17.
The wins push the Lady Blue Devils record up to 5-1 on the season.
In the match with the Lady Bulldogs, Wynot cruised to the 25-19, 25-19 and 25-17 win in the best-offive- sets match.
Kenna Oligmueller recorded a double-double in her six rotations with 13 winners offensively and 15 digs in the back row.
Sophie Geisen set up the offense with 37 assists and helped defend with seven digs.
Jaylin Geisen had a couple of blocks at the net and 20 digs.
Joslyn Hochstein had nine kills, Jordan Foxhoven slammed seven winners as did Haley Wieseler.
In the Lady Wildcat match, Oligmueller again led the Lady Blue Devil attack with eight kills, Sophie Geisen again set the attack off with 24 assists and Hochstein had five winners.
Foxhoven had four ace serves in the match, Jaylin Geisen had three and Wieseler had three as the Lady Blue Devils served up a total of 10.
Foxhoven had 16 digs, Jaylin Geisen had 13 and Hochstein had three blocks.
Wynot was set to take its 5-1 record on the road for a Lewis & Clark Conference match up with Bloomfield on Sept. 17 before a home date with Lyons-Decatur Northeast on Sept. 24.
