WAYNE — Wayne State College continues its free planetarium and laser shows Friday and Saturday, Sept. 13-14, in the Fred G. Dale Planetarium.

Admission is free and open to the public.

The shows on Saturday, Sept. 14, are part of Wayne State’s Family Day, but the public is invited to these shows as well.

On Friday, Sept. 13, the planetarium show “Cosmic Colors” will be at 7 p.m., followed by the laser show “Laser Classic Rock” at 8 p.m.

On Saturday, Sept. 14, the planetarium show schedule is “STARS,” 11 a.m.; “Astronaut,” noon; “Oasis in Space,” 1 p.m.; “Earth, Moon, & Sun,” 2 p.m.; and “Two Small Pieces of Glass,” 3 p.m.

The planetarium is located on the lowest level of Wayne State’s Carhart Science Building. Guests should use the southwest doors to enter. Carhart Science and the planetarium are handicap accessible.

Doors open 20 minutes prior to the start of a show and shows generally include a tour of the current night sky.
