Sept. 8, 2004

HARTINGTON — James and April Pearson are the new owners of the Chief Bar in downtown Hartington.

They officially took over from James’ parents, Monte and Lori Pearson, on Aug. 18.

The Pearsons have moved to Phoenix, Ariz.

Monte will be managing a warehouse there for his brother, Craig. Lori is hoping the dry air and getting away from the cold, humidity and icy winters will improve the condition of her health, according to April.
