TABOR, S.D. — The Wynot Expos hit the road for three games in South Central South Dakota Amateur Baseball Action over the past week.

The Expos traveled to Parkston July 10 and lost to the Rays 1312, traveled to Lesterville July 11 and dropped a game to the Broncs 11-1 and traveled to Tabor July 14 where they outlasted the Bluebirds, 7-6 to end the week 5-12 on the season.

The teams were tied 4-4 in Tabor after four full innings, but Wynot grabbed the lead with a 3-run seventh then held on to take the win by the 7-6 final score.

Landon Wieseler had a big night at the plate going a perfect 4-for-4 while scoring twice and driving in two runs.

Jackson Sudbeck got the win on the mound hurling seven innings, scattering eight hits and recording six strikeouts and allowing four earned runs.

Jalen Wieseler came on in relief, pitching the final two innings to pick up the save.

Lee Heimes opened the seventh at the plate for the Expos and got on board on an error by the Tabor third baseman then advanced to second on an error by the pitcher.

After a ground out, Landon Wieseler singled on a ground ball to the shortstop before Peyton Wieseler was plunked by the Bluebirds’ pitcher to load the bases.

Jalen Wieseler hit a sacrifice fly to center field, scoring Heimes and advancing Landon Wieseler to third.

Scott Morrison rifled a single into center field which scored Peyton and Landon Wieseler and put the Expos up 7-4.

The Blue Birds would score two runs in the bottom of the seventh to get to the final score as Tabor went down in order in the bottom of the ninth.

In the game against Lesterville, the Broncs scored early and often on the way to the 11-1 win in a game shortened by the 10-run rule in the seventh inning.

Lesterville pitching limited the Wynot bats to just four hits in the contest and Ryan Heimes scored the lone run for the Expos in the third inning.

Wynot pounded out an amazing 21 hits in the Parkston game, including seven doubles, and despite outhitting the Rays 21-9, the Expos fell by the single run.
