Council approves licenses for Hartington Dayz

HARTINGTON — Plans for the Aug. 3 Hartington Dayz event are quickly coming together.

The Hartington City Council Monday granted designated liquor licenses for the Big Hair Brewhaus, Broadway Lanes and for the Brewhaus to sell alcohol at the Globe Event Center.

Earlier this summer, the Council approved a Hartington Chamber of Commerce proposal to close Broadway Avenue from Highway 84 to just north of the Brewhaus for the event.

The Chamber is planning many family events as well as a street dance to wind up the day.

Plans are still being finalized, but as of right now, food trucks, a community rummage sale, and a Fun Run are all being planned.

This is the third year now, for the Chamber's summer event.
