ORCHARD — Funeral Services for Cheryl A. Meier, 75, Orchard, will be 10:30 a.m., June 12, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Clearwater, with Pastor Sollberger officiating.
Burial will be in Ewing City Cemetery, Ewing. Visitation was June 11 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home, Clearwater. Cheryl Ann Meier died peacefully, surrounded by family, June 6, 2024, at her home in Orchard, following a brief illness. Cheryl was born Sept. 12,1948, to Vernon and Frances (Weyhrich) Brummels in Osmond. She grew up on a farm northeast of Randolph, where she attended District 115, Prospect Hill Country School, eventually graduating from Randolph Public High School with the Class of 1966. Cheryl is survived by her daughters, Catherine Meier (Chris O’Brien),Finland, Minn.; Rebecca (Kurt) Bravo, Ft. Pierce, Fla.; Rachael (Mike) Barlow, Ewing; eight grandchildren, Dylan and Cedar O’Brien; Riley Montgomery; Hannah and Chase Bravo, and Jack, Tessa, and Kate Barlow; Cheryl’s mother, Frances Brummels, Ewing; brothers, Gary (Lynn) Brummels, Waukee, Iowa; Jim Brummels, Wayne; Rod (Jane) Brummels, Osmond; Roger (Lori) Brummels, Norfolk; Ed (Sandy) Brummels. Osmond; Dan (Jo) Brummels, Ewing; sister-in-law, Lin Brummels, Winside; sister-in-law, Connie Tufte, Hermosa, S.D.; and Rhonda (Brad) Kobold, Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; and brother-in-law, Dennis Meier, Durham, N.C.; and many nieces and nephews.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband, Gary; her father, Vernon Brummels; father-in law, Laurence Meier; mother-in-law, Charlotte Meier; her grandparents, Harry and Ida Brummels, and Edward and Anna Weyhrich; brothers-in-law, Dwayne Meier and Roger Tufte; and sister-inlaw, Mary Nelson.
