Coleridge Legion, Augiliary hold their May meeting

COLERIDGE – The American Legion Post 114 and Auxiliary Unit 114 held a monthly meeting May 9, at Coleridge Community Building.

COLERIDGE — The American Legion Post 114 and Auxiliary Unit 114 held a monthly meeting May 9, at Coleridge Community Building.

The units jointly recited the Pledge of Allegiance and separated to hold their monthly meetings.

President Vicky Gullicksen called the meeting to order. Secretary Brenda Lage called the roll, with eight members responding.

At this time, members worked on poppies and getting crosses ready for Memorial Day for honoring departed veterans and auxiliary at local cemeteries.

President Vicky Gullicksen stated the auxiliary members were to bring a dessert or pies for dinner/donation for American Legion Memorial Day Dinner May 27.

Members were informed of the program at the Veterans Memorial, followed by dinner at the Coleridge Community Building. The Avenue of Flags were put up May 23, followed by poppy crosses at the cemeteries. All members are asked to come and help with all activities.

The next meeting was set for Monday, June 3.

The meeting was adjourned.
