STANTON – Randolph golfers didn’t find themselves in the winners’ circle but there was a lot to be proud of from the team’s last outing in Stanton, said Coach Rob Engel.

Freshman Ryan Engel and Sophomore Logan Lienemann both hit a season-low score, Engel with a 94 and Lienemann with a 106.

The team was just three shots from fourth place, ultimately landing sixth out of 16 teams.

“This puts us in good position to peak next Monday at districts,” Engel said.

The home tournament was set for Monday but postponed until Tuesday due to forecasted wet weather. Look for those results in next week’s edition.

Stanton results

Bryson Eledge, 20th place, 92; Ryan Engel, 26th place, 94; Shaw Backer, 29th place, 95; Aiden Gubbels, 34th place, 97; Logan Lienemann 55th place, 106.
