OSMOND – Randolph golfers took to the Rolling Hills Country Club on Saturday for an invitational at Osmond against 12 other teams.
Players again had to battle cold temperatures and windy conditions, said Coach Rob Engel.
“Four of the five players made big improvements from their first nine holes to their second nine,” Engel said with Shaw Backer able to back up his solid 47 front nine with a 48 on the back. “If we can become a bit more consistent on our first nine hole scores, we will be able to really put our team in the hunt during meets.”
The team finished fifth out of 13 teams with the following individual results: Bryson Eledge, 15th place, 90; Aiden Gubbels, 21st place, 94; Shaw Backer, 25th place, 95; Ryan Engel, 49th, place, 108; Logan Lienemann, 54th place, 115.
