HARTINGTON - Wynot traveled to Hartington for the Wildcat Invitational on April 15 with the Lady Blue Devils and Blue Devils both placing sixth in the meet.
Bloomfield swept the team titles over Wausa in the girls’ race and Hartington-Newcastle in the boys’ competition 106-85 and 8781 respectively.
The Lady Blue Devils scored 41 points while the Wynot boys posted a score of 48.
Eliza Lange paced a shorthanded Lady Blue Devil team with a second-place finish in the 200 and a third in the 100.
Kinslee Heimes was sixth in the 100.
Annika Heimes was third in the open 800 and the 1,600-meter relay team of Annika, Kinslee and Kiera Hemes joined Lange to win the event with a time of 4-minutes-44.33-seconds.
Chase Schroeder and Dylan Heine led the Blue Devils in the meet.
Schroeder won the 400 and was second in the 800 while Heine did his damage in the field events, winning the high jump after clearing the bar at 6-foot-2-inches and the triple jump with a best of 40-11.50.
Heine and Schroeder helped the 3,200-meter relay team to a third-place showing along with Korbin Guenther and Cooper Oligmueller.
The 1.600 foursome of Oligmueller, Nixen Heimes, Jed Nelson and Braylon Hans placed sixth.
Nelson placed sixth in the 800 and Oligmueller was fifth in the 1,600 to round out the Wynot scoring.
Both teams will compete in the Norfolk Classic on April 24 before heading to Ponca for the Lewis & Clark Conference Meet on April 27.
