Ohnoutka to be honored by Omaha Archdiocese

OMAHA – Jeff Ohnoutka, executive director of Columbus Catholic Schools, will be one of eight educators honored at the Archbish op’s Dinner for Education for their positive impact on Catholic schools in northeast Nebraska. The honorees are being recognized for their commitment to helping students reach their full academic and spiritual pot ential.

OMAHA – Jeff Ohnoutka, executive director of Columbus Catholic Schools, will be one of eight educators honored at the Archbish op’s Dinner for Education for their positive impact on Catholic schools in northeast Nebraska. The honorees are being recognized for their commitment to helping students reach their full academic and spiritual pot ential.

This year’s dinner is Sept. 12 at the CHI Health Center Omaha. Other honorees this year include, Administrators Of The Year, Susie Sullivan, principal of Marian High School in Omaha; Elementary Educators Of The Year, Christy Vogel, St. Pius/St. Leo Catholic School, Omaha, and Carole Willis, St. Mary Catholic School, O’Neill; Secondary Educators Of The Year, Michele Sweetmon, Gross Catholic High School, Omaha, and Kim Knobbe, Guardian Angels Central Catholic, West Point;Maginn Family Foundation Educators Of The Year (for service to inner-city and underserved youth), Jon Burt, Madonna School and Community-Based Services, Omaha;and Jodie Sibbernsen, St. Bernard Catholic School, Omaha.

This event raises money for needs-based scholarships to help students attend a Catholic school of their families’ choice.
