LAUREL — Laurel-Concord-Coleridge hosted its own golf invitational on April 11 at Cedar View Country Club in Laurel, and the Bears finished ninth out of 15 teams in the tournament.
Tekamah-Herman out-dueled Ponca for the team title after the Tigers posted a 347 while the Indians were four shots back at 351.
Bradyn Urwiler was the low man for Laurel-Concord-Coleridge, as he covered 18 holes in 93 shots to pace the Bears to a team total of 392. Urwiler’s 93 put him in 21st place.
Landon Uthof from Ponca shot the low round of the day, carding an 82, two strokes better than Tekamah-Herman’s Brody Rogers.
Mauric Ford-Davis of Homer was third with an 85 after winning a scorecard playoff with the Tigers’ Thomas Braniff.
Cedar Catholic’s Mav Heine finished fifth with an 86.
Jackson Hall finished 23rd after firing a 94, Kolten Settje was 42nd with a 102, and Talon Carson and Tanner Thompson each shot a 103.
The Bears will be back in action on April 18 at the Lutheran High Northeast Invitational at the Norfolk Country Club before traveling to Hartington for the Hartington-Newcastle tournament on April 23.
