OMAHA — Omaha Westside senior Lakelyn Joslin has committed to Lake Erie College to play lacrosse and basketball.
Lakelyn is the daughter of Nate and Laurie Joslin, Omaha, and the granddaughter of Ed and Helene Bottolfsen, Hartington.
On the lacrosse field, Lakelyn led her team in shot percentage last season. She could shoot on the basketball court, too, as she shot a respectable 37 percent from the field.
Lakelyn adds her name to a short list of athletes to come out of Westside and play two sports in college. She played basketball and lacrosse in all four years of her high school career.
Lakelyn will be a long way from home with Lake Erie College being about 12 hours away from Omaha in Painesville, Ohio.
