RANDOLPH – Randolph and area residents are invited to attend a fish fry and silent auction to raise funds for an individual fighting a rare disease.

The Catholic Order of Foresters are sponsoring the matching fund benefit for Brittany Shonkwiler, daughter of Kelly and Peggy Isom, Randolph.

The event will take place 5-7:30 p.m., Friday, March 15, at the city auditorium.

The menu includes fish, French fries, beans, coleslaw and buns. Carryout is available.

Shonkwiler was diagnosed with a rare genetic renal disease in October 2023 and her kidneys have shut down to 13 percent. She currently undergoes six hours of dialysis treatment every day at home while awaiting a kidney transplant.

Funds raised will go toward Shonkwiler’s medical expenses and fill in gaps from missing work for treatment.
