Hartington swimmers participate in South Dakota Championship Swim Meet

HARTINGTON — There will be eight Hartington Swimmers in the South Dakota State A swim meet Championships, Emily Climer, Kyson Lammers, Allison Hueser, Hadley Dendinger, Randall Hueser, Grant Hueser and Piper Dendinger.

Swimming is a high school sport in Nebraska, but neither Hartington-Newcastle nor Cedar Catholic high schools have swimming programs, so the athletes swim for the Vermillion Area Swim Team in South Dakota. These swimmers are all part of the Hartington Swim team in the summer.

The 12 and Under South Dakota State Swim meet is Feb. 23-25, and the 13 and over South Dakota State swim meet is March 1-3.

Piper Dendinger will swim in the 12 and under State A Championships. She will swim the 25 Free, 50 Free, 25 Back, 50 Back, 25 Breast, 25 Fly, 100 IM, 100 Medley Relay, 100 Free Relay.

Hadley Dendinger will swim in the 12 and under State A. Championships. She will swim the 50 Free, 50 Breast, 100 Breast, 200 Medley Relay, 200 Free Relay.

Grant Huesers will swim in the 12 and under State A Championships. He will swim 25 free, 25 back.

Andrew Huesers will swim in the 12 and under State A Championships. He will swim the 50 Free, 100 Free, 50 Breast, 100 Medley Relay, 100 Free Relay.

Randall Huesers will swim in the 12 and under State A Championships. He will swim 50 Free, 50 Fly, 50 breast, and a relay.

Allison Huesers will swim in the 13s and Over State A Championships. She will swim 50 Free, 100 Free, and 200 Free.

Emily Climer will swim in the 13s and Over State A Championships. She will swim the 50 Free, 100 Free, and 200 Free.

Kyson Lammers will swim in the 13s and Over State A Championships. He will swim the 50 Free, 100 Free, 200 Free, 100 Breast, 200 Breast, and 200 IM.
