HARTINGTON — An estimated 500 bushels of corn was stolen from the federal grain storage depot west of Hartington sometime after midnight last Wednesday. The thieves are believed to have been using a semi-trailer grain truck to haul the corn. Feb. 18, 1954

HARTINGTON — Two Nebraska Safety Patrol officers from Fremont were fined Monday afternoon after pleading guilty in Cedar County Court here for traffic violations. Capt. Ervin Schottler was charged with using fictitious license plates. Sgt.

Willard Clark was charged for failure to produce a vehicle registration certificate and driver’s license.
