STANTON — The Stanton Junior High Honor Band was held Saturday, Feb. 3, featuring a band, percussion ensemble and a choir.

There were four Laurel-Concord-Coleridge band members who participated in the Stanton festival.

Nolan Nordby was a member of the percussion ensemble performing “Five Petite Movements” by Chris Roode, “Flim Flam” by Andrew Borer, and their favorite “Rhythm Rocket” by John Willmarth. The percussion ensemble clinician was Andrew Borer from Norfolk. Alex Allison-tenor saxophone, Madyson Campbell-alto saxophone, and Jolynn Kinkaid-percussion were members of the junior high band performing “Skygazer Fanfare” by Randall Standridge, “After the Rain” by Matt Neufeld, “Eine Kleine March Music” by arr. by Katie O’Hara LaBrie, “Night Fury” by Carol Brittin Chambers, and “Awesome Sauce” by Scott Watson. The band clinician was Jessica Steckly the Ponca Public School band director.
