HARTINGTON —The Lewis and Clark Natural Resources District (LCNRD) provides two $1,000 scholarships to outstanding high school seniors living within the LCNRD boundary.
Patefield – Green Memorial Scholarships are available to students who intend to pursue an agricultural-related career and plan to return to the area and help local communities to conserve and protect our natural resources. Judging criteria is based on how and where the applicant plans to use their education, preservation awareness of natural resources, individual initiative, and community involvement. Applicants should list individual or group achievements in areas such as 4-H, FFA, National Honor Society, class officer, or participation in church or civic organizations. All applicants must reside in LCNRD, and their course of study must be in an agricultural or related field. Applications are available from high school guidance counselors or online at lcnrd.nebraska.gov under the “Education” tab or by contacting LCNRD at 402-254 6758 or emailing [email protected]. Applications must be received no later than 4:30 p.m. on March 1, 2024, at the LCNRD office at 608 N. Robinson Ave., PO Box 518, Hartington, NE 68739-0518.
