Blue Devils pick up blow out win against Niobrara-Verdigre

NIOBRARA — The Wynot Blue Devils ventured west Monday to take on the Cougars of Niobrara-Verdigre. The Devils mauled the Cougars to the tune of 69-23.

Wynot exploded to a quick 28-2 first quarter lead and never looked back as they went on to earn the lopsided 69-23 win. After the fast start Coach Lee Heimes would rest his starters for most of second half as Wynot improved their season mark to 10-3 while Niobrara Verdigre’s fell to 4-10.

Wynot placed nine players in the scoring column for this game lead by Chase Schroeder with 16 points and Zack Foxhoven with 13 points all coming in the first half.
