HARTINGTON – 'Tis the season for Christmas music.
Area churches and schools are planning several special musical events to help celebrate the Christmas season.
East & West Catholic Elementary School students held their annual Christmas concert Sunday, Dec. 3.
Wynot Elementary School kicked off the season Tuesday, Dec. 5, with a Christmas concert in the school gym. The Wynot Jr. and Sr. High School Christmas concert is planned for Monday, Dec. 18, at 7 p.m., in the school gym.
Hartington-Newcastle Public Schools will hold its annual K-6 grade program Monday, Dec. 11.
The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will feature traditional and non-traditional Christmas music from the entire elementary school student body. The Hartington-Newcastle 7-12 concert will be at 7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 21, in the school gym. Holy Trinity Elementary School students will present their annual Christmas pageant Thursday, Dec. 14, beginning at 7 p.m. Cedar Catholic High School will put on its annual 7-12 Christmas concert at 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 18.
Most area students will be dismissed for the holiday break Friday, Dec. 22, and will go back to school Thursday, Jan. 4.
