LINCOLN – Highway 20 traffic through town has been reduced to one lane yet again as crews complete repair work.
Work began Monday on a stretch of Highway 20 from the Highway 81 junction to Belden, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Constructors Inc. of Lincoln will be working on pavement repair, new driveways and curb and gutter construction. Traffic will be maintained with a pilot car, flaggers and temporary traffic signals.
The work is expected to wrap up in about a week. NDOT officials said the work is necessary for mining the safety and integrity of the highway and to prevent further damage.
