Runners compete well at Conference

WAUSA – Randolph’s cross country team competed in the Bloomfield Invite/Lewis & Clark Conference meet Friday. In a week’s time the weather changed from warm to cold and windy. Many runners layered with a sweatshirt underneath their jersey for Friday’s race.

WAUSA – Randolph’s cross country team competed in the Bloomfield Invite/Lewis & Clark Conference meet Friday. In a week’s time the weather changed from warm to cold and windy. Many runners layered with a sweatshirt underneath their jersey for Friday’s race.

Results for the 3.1 mile race include Justin Guenther, 19:33 for 21st place; Matthew Schultz, 21:31 for 37th place; Hunter McGhee, 22:05 for 41st place; Brayden Shearer, 22:40 for 44th place.

The varsity boys team placed seventh as a team.

In the junior high 1.6-mile race, Jalen Junck medaled with ninth place in 10:33; Trey Tjaden, finished in 13:15 for 27th place.

The district meet at Pender is next.
