Lady Wildcats defeat Bloomfield

HARTINGTON — The Hartington-Newcastle Lady Wildcat volleyball team defeated Lewis and Clark foe Bloomfield here Tuesday night in a four-set thriller.

The Lady Cats fell behind early, but came back to knot the score at 10-10. The two teams then battled point for point after that until Bloomfield again gained the advantage late in the conteast.

The Queen Bees built a 24-21 lead, but were unable to capitalize on set point. The Lady Cats battled back to send it into extras before falling 28-26.

HNS won the next set 25-21, and edged out the Queen Bees 25-23 in the third set before closing out the match in the fourth set with a 25-17 decision.
