COLERIDGE — Kenneth M. Bach, 78, Coleridge, died Aug. 12, 2023, at the Methodist Hospital, Omaha.
Funeral services will be Aug. 19, at 10:30 a.m., at the United Lutheran Church, Laurel with the Rev. Matthew Quanbeck officiating.
Burial will be at the Laurel cemetery. Pallbearers are Dan Bach, Severin Bach, Jake Bach, Mike Stehno, John Kruger and Stan Polensky.
Honorary pallbearers are Tim Polensky, Aaron Morgan and Nick Morgan.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, at the United Lutheran Church, and will continue Saturday one hour prior to services.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home, Laurel.
Kenneth Milton Bach was born Sept. 7, 1944, in Carroll, to Arthur Helmuth and Pearl (Lewon) Bach. He grew up in the Belden and Sholes area and attended country school. He also attended Wausa High School. He entered the U.S. Army and served 1963-1967. Ken met Barbara Jean Wilcher at Murphy’s Chicken Diner on base in Fort Hood, Texas. They were married Aug. 19, 1967, in Killeen, Texas. They lived on a farm north of Randolph, until 2008, when they moved to Coleridge.
Ken was a member of the United Lutheran Church, Laurel, and the Laurel Veteran’s Posts #4504 and #54.
Ken is survived by his two sons and spouses, Michael (Tricia) Bach, Norfolk, and Steven (Mindy) Bach, Belden; six grandchildren, Michael’s, Abbey (Aaron) Morgan, Alyssa (Logan) Solis, Arin Bach; Steven’s, Severin Bach, Jake (Claire) Bach; great-grandchildren Addilynn Bach, Aubrey Morgan, Liam Morgan, Avery Morgan, Aunna Morgan and Milo Solis; brother, Don (Darlene) Bach, Sioux City, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Barbara, Jan. 20, 2023, at the age of 78; and his brother, Dale Bach.
