HARTINGTON — The streets of downtown Hartington will come to life this Saturday when the Hartington Area Chamber of Commerce puts on the second annual Hartington Dayz event.
The day’s big event will be a street dance at the corner of Broadway Avenue and Main Street featuring the Hipsters and the 4020s. The 4020s are set to take the stage at 7 p.m., while the Hipsters will go on at 9 p.m.
Saturday’s event will also feature sidewalk sales, a special downtown vendor market and garage sales throughout town.
Six different food vendors will also be set up for the event.
The Hartington Hotel and the Cedar County Historical Museum will also both be having open houses on Saturday. The open house at the hotel runs from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., while the museum will be open from 2-4 p.m.
Kids games, face painting and a bounce house are being planned at Kruse Hardware. A duck race will also be held at 2 p.m.
A disc golf tournament and a fun run are also planned.
