1928: Donahue is ordained in Dublin ceremony

HARTINGTON — Cyril Donahue, nephew of Mrs. John Dendinger of Hartington and brother of Jerry Donahue, formerly of Hartington, was ordained a Jesuit priest at Dublin, Ireland Tuesday morning.

Immediately following the ceremony, he sent a cablegram conveying his priestly blessing to Mrs. John Dendinger, who received it the same morning.

Father Donahue will celebrate his first solemn high Mass at the Jesuit church in Milwaukee on Aug. 26.

Mr. and Mrs. John Dendinger are planning to travel to Milwaukee to attend.
